It’s Christmas in July! This Gingerbread House Blanket is such a fun addition to my house blanket series. It all started with the Cozy Winter Cabin Blanket, then the Halloween Haunted House Blanket, and now we have this adorable Gingerbread House!
![](http://www.repeatcrafterme.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/GingerbreadHouseBlanket2-728x651.jpg)
It starts with a 25×25 pixel graph. I use the corner-to-corner technique to crochet the square and then I add a large border around it. The finished size of this blanket is approximately 40×40 inches but you could continue the border sequence to make the blanket as large as you’d like!
If you are new to the Corner-to-Corner (C2C) Crochet technique, let me explain a little bit about it. You can take a pixel graph and turn it into a crocheted piece. By starting in one corner of the graph (the lower right hand is most common place to start), you will crochet crochet diagonally in rows until you get to the other corner. One pixel square = a chain 2 + 3 HDC stitches. Please note that I am using HDC stitches for the C2C instead of DC.
HERE is a Corner-to-Corner Video Tutorial on my YouTube Channel that might help.
You can also crochet the gingerbread house using single crochet stitches as I did HERE. But the finished square will be very small if crocheted in single crochet. Great for other projects but maybe not a blanket.

NOTE: it helps to pre-cut your strands of yarn that you will need for the gumdrops on the roofline and the candy canes. I cut each of the strands to about 40 inches long each.

Start by crocheting the Gingerbread House Square using corner-to-corner crochet. It should measure about 18 x 18 inches when you are done. It will be reversible when you are finished! A mirror image.

I’m not going to lie, there are a lot of color changes and ends to weave in. The pre-cut strands helped with the color changes and weaving in the ends goes faster if you binge watch a show while you are sewing in the tails. It’s worth it!

![](http://www.repeatcrafterme.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/GingerbreadHouseBlanket20-728x527.jpg)
Speaking of weaving in ends, if you feel like some of your squares aren’t connecting, this would be the time to make corners connect. For instance, there was a space on my candy cane where the red and white weren’t touching so I used the loose end of red to make it connect while I was weaving it in.

It’s great to have a hobby that you can monetize. For example, when I moved to Australia to study, I found a cool online casino where you can hold tournaments with real dealers
thepokies 89 net login . Here, you don’t just play, but also collect additional bonuses to multiply your winnings. I also like the fact that the interface is very beautiful and user-friendly, so your eyes don’t get tired. And there is a fairly simple way to withdraw money without additional verifications.
If you are still looking for your own hobby, then I advise you to try this Australian casino.
